“talking stage”

so i’ve been talking to this guy for about a year now and we’ve talked about being boyfriend and girlfriend before and he’s just never cared about it he has commitment issues and idk i kinda just want to know “my place” with him i can’t post him on anything, i don’t really talk to anybody about him because he gets upset with me if people know. idk if i’m making a big deal about it or not. so how long is the “talking stage”?

he was mad at me because my 2 male friends came over (all my friends are guys) (all his friends are females) he got pissy and ran to my mother and my mom LOVES this kid so much she’s the only reason i gave him another chance because she BEGGED me to. but anyways i’ve never met any of his friends and he has met all of mine another red flag.. idk he has potential to be a good guy but he isn’t at least not to me. Grant still hasn’t texted me back and this text was sent last night. i literally just bought him christmas and birthday gifts.. (Laundre) i’m kind of upset.. okay very upset..
