Hard breathing? I laid my LO down and noticed he started breathing like this. Is this normal? He is totally fine when he is awake and such so I just noticed he was breathing like this when I finally got him to go to sleep.

My baby also breathes like that sometimes. She breathes heavy. Sometimes super fast, and will even stop for a few seconds then start breathing fast. My doctor said it’s all normal and that babies are still learning to breathe and there’s immaturity in the brain. It’s all normal.

Just like adults babies have different stages of sleep and it effects our breathing pattern. My LO breathes quick and heavy sometimes while sleeping.
