Ectopic pregnancy... have you had one?

I thought I was having a period but the blood was brownish then normal then brownish again I told my mother in law and she told me to take a pregnancy test and sure enough I was pregnant. I started to cry right away my first thought was that it was a miscarriage. So I went for blood work and an ultrasound. The blood work told me I was pregnant and RHnegative. I took a rhogam shot right away and the ultrasound came back too soon to see. They said I was around 3-5 weeks. A week later and and I’m still bleeding and I stared getting sharp pains in my RLQ. I let that go on for about 3 days and then went to the ER. They took blood and did another ultrasound and found the sac and told me what I had been dreading that is was an ectopic pregnancy. Luckily it wasn’t in my tube but next to the ovary where the tube starts called the adnexal area. I was crushed but some how knew in my gut that something wasn’t right from the start. I was given methotrexate right away and told it will just take time. It took about a month for my levels to get down to 5 or below and for me to stop bleeding.

Mind you I am 33 and this was my first pregnancy I feel so blessed and upset at the same time. I thought I would never get pregnant and gave up then boom this happened. Now I am ready to try again but the right way. I have never TTC and tracked my CM or bbt or just took proper care of myself and took vitamins. I’m gonna do it though, I’m praying that I am blessed to have a baby of my own.
