So the college I’m wanting to go to requires new students to take an assessment/placement test. You have to take that test on campus but I live in a different state...I don’t know what to do about that?

My school set up a day the day before orientation explicitly for those that needed to take placement exams. Call your school and see what's up. It might turn out that you don't even need to take it. I had scored high enough on my SATs that I didn't need to take the math one and I came in with English Comp already taken care of, so I didn't need to take that one either.

Most schools used a pretty standard type of assessment. You'll probe able to take it at any proctored test center that has access to that test. Call the school and see if you can do that

Call the school most of the time you can take placentas tests at a college closer to you in your home state. Thats what I had to do, if not those tests are usually open for incoming freshman throughout the summer. You might have to plan to take one during your summer or over spring break.
