Anyone else scared of going into labor?

FTM here and I am 36 weeks and very uncomfortable.... I’m ready for her to be here but I’m terrified of going into labor. Even having sex right now hurts down there. I don’t know how I’m going to handle it.

I thought it was fun. I know it sounds scary and all that, but if you have a good staff and a good doctor, you’ll be okay. Of course I got my epidural at 5cm dilated and didn’t deliver for 6 more hours, so I just slept the whole time 😂

When you’re going through it your mind is on baby. My very, whiney, over dramatic SIL managed to get through labor (screams over paper cuts, cries over stomach aches as a grown ass woman) and she did it fine. If she can take labor in stride anyone can 🤣

I just want pregnancy to be over.  I think of labor like ripping off a bandaid. It sucks, but at least it will be over.

Second time mom, 32 weeks and I’m scared

The fear is worse than the labor, honestly. I was terrified when I was induced with my daughter and it made me tense and I even started to vomit and shake because I had freaked myself out so much. It's really not as bad as you're probably imagining. This is what our bodies are designed to do and while it isn't fun or easy, it is very VERY possible. Plus, you'll have an entire team of professionals supporting you who have delivered tons of babies. 
I'd just try to watch videos, do birthing classes (maybe online? Sometimes there's free ones!) and read up on different methods for relaxing and pain management. But most of all, remember - You got this! If I could get through it, so can you 😃

2nd time mom. I was so nervous my whole pregnancy since my first was god awful. But now I’m so ready and kind of excited to go through it again and meet my last little baby. I’m not going to look at is as a painful experience, but just an experience and see if my different mindset helps. Def getting epidural though.

It really isn’t that bad. Yea it hurts, but once it’s over it’s over and you feel great. I’m excited as crazy as it sounds lol
