When will most drs let you get a sweep?

At my next appointment I’ll be 38+3 and want to ask for a membrane sweep😬 I was at a 1 at 36 weeks but did not get checked my last appointment, hopefully I’ve dilated more but I know they can preform the sweep at a 1.... so wondering if most drs will do it at 38 weeks or make you wait longer?

Some will do it at 37 weeks it’s definitely worth asking if you’re considering it my drs doing another cervix check at 39w and if I’m dilated will do it if I want I was gonna ask them to check at last appointment but I figured I could wait another week I’m just getting a little nervous about possibly not being dilated at all

Every doctor is different, you'd have to ask yours to see if they'd do it or not.
