Doppler?

Being plus sized, what week were/are you able to hear your babies heart beat via Doppler? Thinking about getting one, but don't want to get it too early and be worried sick when I can't hear anything...

I found mine at 10w. I found its easier in the morning with an empty bladder and an empty belly. I also prop my hips with a few pillows.

Point the wand downwards towards your vagina you should be doing this where your  public hair starts or would start if you don't have any. The baby is very low during the first few months. I wouldn't start trying to hear the heartbeat until 9 or 10 weeks just because you might not be able to find it which will cause unnecessary stress. Being bigger I didn't have an issue I think it worked just as well as it would for a smaller woman

Not sure if I could have heard it earlier but I didn't hear it until I was 18/19 weeks at my first OB appointment.

I found mine at around 8-9 weeks.. it was very low near the public bone but slightly to the rite side..

I bought mine at 7 wks 4 days didn't hear my bbys hb till 9wks 5days.  Just heard it for the second time today at 11 wks 1 day.  First time it was half way to my belly button never would have thought that high. the second time was down by my pubic bone.  Once you hear that sound it's no mistaking it and so wonderful.

I was not able to find mine at 9w3d but asked my husband to help me and he was able to locate it with the doppler :)

9w as well! I started trying to find it around 8.5 weeks but was looking all over and way too high. At 9w I was able to point it down towards my pubic bone and I found it- so relieved!
