Perks of living in North Carolina?

Me, my fiance, our two kids, and our friend and her so are planning on moving out of state. We are thinking NC. What's it like there? Good place to live? Kid friendly? We want something fun, but kid safe!

It depends where you’re moving from. I moved from FL to NC and back home to FL because it was extremely boring to me, I’m a city girl. My senior year of hs I moved to Asheboro, I went to college in Fayetteville, partied in Greenville and Raleigh, transferred to Charlotte and my mother lived in Greensboro and I volunteered a lot in Winston Salem. It was very boring for me but I was there for school so it was easier to focus. The only place I felt more comfortable in was Charlotte and it’s because it was a bigger city and more active. I’m from South Florida so honestly anywhere else in the south is boring in comparison. However, I will say it is a good place to raise children. A lot of family activities and it’s slower there which I think is better when it comes to children. A lot of schools there teach kids Spanish starting in elementary school which is think is a plus as well. I’m back home now but I did experience a lot in NC, I lived there for 4 and a half years and went to Methodist University and UNCC. Any of those places are cool to move except Asheboro, I would not advise anyone ever to move to Asheboro.

I love that in NC you can go from the mountains to the beach or to the city. People here are really nice & welcoming. What part of nc were you thinking of moving to??

I live in NC now, and people love it here! There are some run down areas, but that comes with every state. Overall I think it's a nice place to live, lots of child friendly events year round and I've heard schools are good
