Hey ladies do you think it's bad in I change my ob if I'm 34 weeks pregnant?

I decided at 29 weeks to have a different OB deliver my son than the one Im seeing. Im 33 now and when I hit 36 I will start going to him until my boy gets here. He has been my doc for many years, I only switched because I moved, so I am more comfortable with him.

I didn't have an OBGYN before pregnancy so I have been meeting with all the doctors & midwives throughout my pregnancy. This is good because my doctor (whoever I choose) may not necessarily be the one who is working when I go into labor... If that's the case I wanted to know all the drs ahead of time. I'm not fond of all of them I'm 31 wks and meeting the last one next week. I love the dr I had last time though so I will most likely want to continue my last few appointments / after care with her. Now to pick a pediatrician....

I think it's bad to have someone you have issues with (if that's the case), to be there birthing your baby. If it's because of moving- you have to do what you have to do, use your free time for research and chose the best doctor for you and your baby for the time you have. That's the only options I see. Problem-solution.

There's specialist that have very good ultrasound just for mamas with your concerns. For my first pregnancy my doc was worried my son was too tiny, and they send me there too be sure. Everything came back fine, but it gave me and my doc a piece of mind. You deserve that.

Some OBs may not take on a patient so late in the pregnancy, so you may have trouble finding a new one. What's making you want to switch?
