When to do 3D ultrasound?

We want to do a 3D ultrasound, but we’re not sure when it’s the best time. I’m 12.5 weeks now, so I’m thinking we should wait until baby’s more developed. Thoughts?

I had a 4D ultrasound done at 28 weeks and i thought the timing was perfect! Got great pictures of baby’s face :)

I just had a private scan at 10 weeks to hear the heartbeat and get a recording of it. The same place also offers 3d/4d ultrasounds, so I asked the tech when the best time would be to come back for one. She said they get the best pictures from 25ish weeks to 31 weeks. I plan on booking one at 29 weeks!

We did one around 14 weeks to get boy/girl with my first and then we did another around 7ish months. The 7/8 month one was SUPER cool. He truly looked like it when he was born.   We are only doing a later one this time.
