Negatively effected....

I know this gets brought up like crazy this time of year but I want too put a bit of a twist on it after a conversation with my neighbor. She brought up Elf on the Shelf and Santa Claus and I told her thst my daughter(10)still believes in Santa and in her elves. Man, did she let me know quickly that my daughter will only resent me for lieing and its physiological abuse to manipulate her to behave.... Heres the twist; Have you or someone you know been negatively impacted when finding out the truth?Devestated, felt betrayal or have had phychological issues? I keep hearing this and im baffled that anyone would be traumatized by parents telling them about Santa...I need real life stories
