Amniotic Bands?
I'm currently 13w2d. I work in radiology at a hospital, so our ultrasound tech scans me quite often. Today we were scanning for gender and ended up doing a transvaginal to get a better look. Well she found an amniotic band and I could tell by the way that she was acting that something was up. I had never heard of it though. Well she told me to just let my doctor know. So I looked it up after I left work and I'm trying not to freak. An amniotic band can wrap around a baby's limbs and cause amputation in the womb. It can also be linked to other birth defects and can be very dangerous. I'm scared to death right now. I don't see my doctor until Thursday. I know that's not long but it is an eternity when it's to determine if your baby is okay or not. Right now I just need some support, kind words, opinions, and to know if anyone else has experienced anything like this.
