Could I be pregnant

So I am on birth control but I’ve been late a few days and last night I was supposed to take it at 6pm but I was at work so I couldn’t so i took it at 11pm when I got home. Today I had unprotected sex and he came in me but will my birth control stop me from getting pregnant if I take it on time today ?
