29+2 hospital visit

So Monday night I had severe nausea and pressure in my stomach that rolled over into yesterday. Last night it became wayyyy too much pressure and vomiting every little thing I tried to eat or drink so I went to the er. They gave me fluids and then told me I was contracting. She said contractions should feel like menstrual pain but I always had light periods with no cramps. The nurse told me if I started to contract to come back in but I couldn't feel the contractions in the hospital so why would I at home? I am a ftm and feel so lost with this stage of pregnancy
