Diaper sizes ?!

Ok I've been racking up on diapers before my baby's arrival I just have one question. I was a 7pound baby & he (boyfriend) was a 10pound baby so I'm just going to assume I'm going up have a big one ! Lmao. I've been getting size 1's. It's says on the box 8-14 pounds, is that ok for a new born or do I need to get a size N from now on ? Which just says <10 pounds.

Don't worry too much about this because stores will let you swap unopened packs. So get what you can and if you need to swap them know you didn't waste any money.

I would recommend only buying small packs of newborn diapers and not a big box. It would suck to buy a huge box and only end up using 20 diapers from it. If you want to play it safe you could buy three or four small packs and just exchange them if you don't need them

Unfortunately your size as a baby doesn't mean you'll have big babies. I was 9lbs 3oz and my husband was 9lbs 15oz and our first child (daughter) was 6lbs 13oz and our second (son) was 8lbs 15oz. So it's very hard to know what to buy cause my daughter was in newborn diapers for 1 1/2 months so I bought two packages of newborn size and my son would just pee right through them. So he's been in size 1s since he's been born.

I think the newborn ones have a cut out for the umbilical cord so you may want to get some.

I would defiantly get some newborn, my son was almost 8 lbs are wore newborn diapers for a month.

You can't predict. And yes nb diapers have the dip for the umbilical cord-- but you can just told and diaper down so it doesn't hit their cord. 
Take the diapers from the hospital. They'll be more than happy to let you have them.

You really can't predict. My husband was 10 lbs at birth and I was 6. Our baby was 7 lbs. she is six weeks and just now starting to wear size ones. She's 10 lbs plus and the size ones are big on her still. I wouldn't buy too many in advance

I used size 1 on my son from birth (DD was cloth diapered). I just folded down the front for te cord.
