Preeclampsia! Any advice or success stories?

Cortnie
I'm 29 weeks +3 I have a mild case of preeclampsia. This is my 2nd pregnancy I had a still born son at 37 weeks 4years ago, so I'm already high risk and they watch me carefully! This is my 1st time with preeclampsia and I'm so scared. I've been to the hospital twice already... I'm preparing myself to know my baby may come before 37 weeks (before this The dr had already planned on taking him at 37weeks via c-section) so I'm hoping I can wait that long. How did you deal with this?? And are your babies ok? How long did you have preeclampsia before it got bad??

With my first pregnancy I started to have pre e symptoms around 30 weeks. My son stopped growing around 32 weeks because my body couldn't support him and myself at the same time. I was induced at 36 weeks and by that time I had pre e and HELLP. My son was born tiny (3lbs 12oz) but because of shots he didn't need any respiratory help and only spent a week in the hospital. I on the other hand spent 3 days in the icu and then 4 days in the regular ward. It was scary and stressful but both of us made it, and I with some help from doctors and strict lifestyle changes just had a baby girl with no complications ☺️My son is now a happy healthy 3 year old, and is starting kindergarten this week (having a premier doesn't have to affect their smartness!) Hang in there mama you can do it!

Of course! I know it's scary as hell, but trust your doctors & your instincts about your body. If you feel like something's off or symptoms are getting worse run to your doctor or the er

Thank you so much. He's so cute!! It's good to know he's doing well. Knowing that he may be a premie I'm worried about his development so it's good to know your son is doing well! And you were able to have him at 36weeks so it didn't progress immediately that was another worry. Thank you!!!

One of my good friends had Pre E with both of her pregnancies. She delivered early both times.  The first was an emergency C section but the second one they were prepared. After being induced she was able to deliver naturally. Both girls are doing great. She is pregnant for a third time and they expect her to have to deliver early again, but other than that they expect a healthy baby.
