Doona car seats. Are they worth it?

The infamous $500 convertible car seat/stroller all in one! Is it worth it?

I opted for Nuna Pipa Lite LX and the Mixx 2 instead

We went to look at it in person, I was sure we would fall in love with it, But DH and I was not impressed, plus if your tall the handle bars sit really low & don’t adjust to height so you have to slump over to push it. Also there’s no place like pockets or a bin to stash anything extra. I would say it’s def for a minimalist. 
We saw the Upper baby Vista and there’s no comparison, in terms of Bells and whistles. We are going with Upper Baby!

It seems too much for an infant car seat that will be grown out of very fast.

It depends. If you live in a city and take cabs or travel on airlines or in general a lot- it is SO worth it! 
If you have two kids that need strollers, don’t travel a ton (it is very heavy), would rather have the option of taking a lighter infant seat out of your car and bring in to places- probably not worth it

We got a Graco travel system, extra base, and 2 Extend2Fits for like $550. They’ll last us until our baby is like 5. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I couldn't see spending that much on 1 item and God forbid you get into a wreck and it would have to be purchased again. All car seats have to go through the same tests to be certified to use that is how I seen things, just depends on all the bells and whistles you want on the seat itself. I got a cosco one from Wal-Mart for less than 100 dollars and love it for my son.
