Progesterone

Hello! I took my progesterone after a peak ovulation surge on day 9,that was so early. I believe I started to take it too early. The doc told me to stop taking it when I went for my annual exam. The next day. day 17, ( I hadn't stopped yet) I started spotting. It was too soon for it to be from the progesterone. Each day after that got brighter and heavier. I have never had a period that early in my cycle before. I am counting that as my period for the month. Do you all think I should do that? And have this be my fresh month after it to continue to try?
