Anyone else have a really painful hsg test?

It was worse than when they took biopsies from my cervix! It was so painful when they put the dye in. They haven’t confirmed they’re not blocked as I have to wait 2 weeks for the results but she did say there was overspill on both sides which I’m assuming is good? Been cramping quite a bit ever since and feeling really bloated. Is this normal?

Mine was painful on my left but right was just ‘uncomfortable’ they told me then and there the left was slow filling so had to push more dye in I did get overspill eventually, I felt really crampy for a few days after but it went away after about 4 days then I fell pregnant on my next cycle but it was ectopic and was in my left tube, it ruptured and I had it removed last December but I’m now 35 weeks pregnant so good luck hope it works out for you x

Yes, its a painful procedure & they suggested to me to have someone pick me up & to take painkillers for the cramps. Goodluck with your results

I was supposed to go after the new year but thankfully conceived in November. I was stressing so much about it and reading everyone’s story’s on here lol
