Sharp pains in nipples while I’m NOT breastfeeding?

I randomly get wicked sharp stabbing pains or maybe like they are being pinched wicked hard lol in my nipples randomly. It happens when baby cries, if it’s cold, or just when I haven’t fed him in a while. Is this normal? It never happened with my first son. I happens in both at the same time.

I have this feeling too!! It seriously feels like shooting pain in my milk duct or something. I goes from down inside my boob to my nipple. It’s definitely not my let down and I feel it even when my boobs are empty and he’s not crying.  I have no idea what it is. I don’t ever have pain while he’s nursing or anything like that. It’s almost like the milking building back up is painful. I have to rub them all the time.

Get your babes mouth for thrush (white spots on tongue and sides of cheeks that can’t be scratched off). My daughter had it and spread it to me. I would get the sharp pains because the thrush had invaded my milk ducts.
