Boyfriends mom will never like me

So it’s very very evident that his mom does not like me. She acts like she does sometimes around people but she criticizes me from my clothes, food choices (I never eat enough in her opinion) and education choices (I am going to grad school- she thinks it’s crazy to go to college for 7 years). Whatever I let it go since they can have an opinion but she just constantly does it. I try to be super friendly and helpful and they are just not people I fit in with. I get so upset because my bf and mom have such a good relationship and text sometimes. Well I texted his mom last night an article that I thought she would find interesting since it’s related to her job. She replies to me by saying okay. I legit said such a nice text asking how they were, talking about Christmas and she replies okay. Guys the last time I have talked to his mom was when I saw her in May! You think she would ask how my family is, how school is going or even good luck on finals to me. Like I just feel so is so out of touch and I don’t get why she puts in no effort. I constantly tell my bf she doesn’t like me and he says she does but she never asks about anything with me when I visit his family all the y’all about is themselves and money which is very uncomfortable. I’m just so tired of trying to be nice to them and knowing that whatever is going on in my life means nothing to them.
