Heavy bleeding. Abnormal or no?

I started my period yesterday and it seemed very normal for a first day period. Upon coming to work my 8 hr shift, I decided to buy tampons instead of just using pads. I got TSS, so haven't used tampons since. That was a few years ago. I got some supers cause I have a tendency to bleed a lil heavier, but I have saturated and went through 2 super tampons in about 2 hrs. It was almost instant both times. I inserted it and within 10 mins I felt it coming through. Is it just heavy this month?
