What products did you need after delivery for take care of yourself? Postpartum products

I found this list online, my insurance is not covering any product (just saying because I know there is some that gift to you products). My doctor will give me a list but just to know for your personal experience what did you actually use?

I used dermoplast, tucks pads, and the squirt bottle in the last pic. Nipple cream is great to have. You will want to bring your own pads to the hospital because the ones the give you are HUGE. Um, nursing bras have never been a necessity for me. I just used normal sports bras (make sure they are loose not tight. Tight can cause a clog and make sure to take into account engorgment when you pick a size) If you are planning to go out after delivery you should get reusable cotton breastpads instead of the disposable. Im starting to leaks 8 months pp when I stopped leaking at 3 months pp. Dermoplast is a 100% must for me. I wouldn't have survived after if I didn't have it. Colace meh. It did nothing.

Dermoplast and the peri bottle were my best friends. Absolute best friends. Tucks pads actually stung a lot so I didn't use those. I had stitches but never got a sitz bath. OB told me I was okay to shower and just let the water run over them. I wasn't about to try to sit in a really low tub and risk popping my stitches anyways to try and make my own sitz bath. Nipple pads weren't necessary because my milk never came in. Breast pump was handy for trying to help with that but it didn't help with that. I'm still glad I had it though. Keeping it for the next baby in hopes my milk actually comes in next time. The huge pads and mesh panties they gave me at the hospital were super nice to have as well. I got to take a bunch home. Yoga type pants and pj bottoms, basically anything looser than jeans were also nice because stitches.

Maxi pads, nipple cream, nursing bras and tanks, tucks and that numbing spray for like two days. I didn't tear very much and only had one internal stitch otherwise I think I would have needed more. The Bobby has saved my arm while breast feeding so I would definitely invest in one of those.

I’m not due for another 5 weeks.. but so far I’ve purchased:
Adult diapers
Over night thick ass pads 
Robe
Nursing tank
Nursing bra (I didn’t think about this and will probably return as I got my size now but have heard your boobs could be 2 cup sizes bigger)
Tucks (2 boxes)
Dermaplast 
Earth Mama Nipple butter
Breast pads (target brand)
I know the hospital will load you up on stuff that you’d of used while you’re there, but felt like it might be nice to have the brands I like at home. I figure I’ll purchase nursing bras, nipple shields and extra pump parts when I get home.

I used tuck pads, squirt bottle, dermoplast, and this other ointment they gave me in the hospital. If your hospital has them get the ice pack pads those were my favorite thing I was so swollen. I also used the hospital mesh underwear and their HUGE pads the first week. After the first week “I was still bleeding” I switched from mesh underwear to adult diapers definitely recommend that oppose to regular underwear. I wore sports bras the first 6 weeks. Breast pads, lanolin, nipple shield were on deck 😂 because my son and I were in the learning process “still are”.

First off I asked for extra mesh panties bc I found they were SUPER comfy and I didn’t have to worry about bleeding on my own undies lol. I also took some of the bed pads home for me to sleep on so that if I bled through, it wouldn’t get on my sheets. I wouldn’t have survived without stool softener lol so get some!! I was also obsessed with the squirt bottle they give you and the dermoplast spray...I’m 10w PP and still have that stuff sitting on my bathroom counter just in case I want to use it lol. Motrin for the pain. I wish they would have given me more of the ice pack pads...they felt soooo good but the nurses said they’re only necessary for the first 24hrs after giving birth...they basically gave me enough to get me through my hospital stay but I know you can make your own at home (I wish I would have done that!). And I bought myself before having baby the charmin wet wipes for when I did go #2 and I’m so glad I did...your butt is very sore after pushing a baby out so wiping with TP didn’t feel good to me and I always felt very clean after using them lol. Lastly the hospital gave me a tub of tucks pads and had me line my pads with them....the coolness felt very relieving down there.
Have lots of patience! Postpartum healing was something I really didn’t think about when I was pregnant. Your body after birth just went through a very traumatic experience and will need lots of healing! I didn’t realize it takes months before you feel like your old self, physically and emotionally.
