IUD Concerns!

Hey Y’all.

I have a few general questions about IUD’s and I have a few different resources, but I wanted to open it up to discussion.

I’m currently 19, and in a long-term relationship. Within the last month we’ve become sexually active. We’ve have sex a few times, each with a condom, but I’m wondering about my other options.

The condom broke once, and it made me start thinking about other contraceptive options. ( No worries, I’ve had my period and this is a no baby zone🙅🏻‍♀️)

I’m looking into getting an IUD, but I want more information.

I’m not planning on pregnancy within the next ten years, and since IUD is long term, I figure it would be easier. I worry about the side effects of pills and other hormonal methods.

Is it Effective? (Do you also use a condom?)

What are the side effects like?
