Transfer 1 or 2?

So I had a successful fresh cycle in 2016 which resulted in my 2.5 year old. I've been trying for #2 with FETs all year with no success. First ended in miscarriage at 6 weeks and the next 2 failed. Everything always looked great...perfect embryos, lining and bloodwork. I have 2 embryos left, a early blast and 3BB. RE is willing to transfer them both but I'm torn. I really want it to work obviously but also do NOT want twins. I'm not sure I'm willing to go through retrieval again so these are more then likely the last 2. What would you do? TIA

Hi crystal! This was similar to our situation.. we got pregnant with our first FET and now have a 2.5 year old.  After his 1st birthday we tried 2 different FETs which one didn’t work and the other resulted in a double ectopic and loosing both tubes and left ovary.. after this very traumatic experience we transferred our last remaining 8 embryos to another client. They suggested an unthaw and letting them reach blast stage before freezing again... out of the 8 only 2 were good. (I might not be explaining this right but our first client was very old school and they weren’t graded or anything) We decided to only transfer one because we didn’t want twins but after the transfer I cried and cried thinking it wasn’t going to work... but it did and I now have a 5 week old baby! So just wanted to give you a little encouragement!! We have 1 left and waiting a year to decide if we will transfer the last one. I really hope the best for you and that your next transfer works!!

If you dont want twins, transfer just 1 at a time. I think the chances of at least 1 taking is the same whether you put them in together or not but the chances of twins is obviously higher if you put both in 🤷🏻‍♀️ im no expert though

I would do 1 at a time. I don't want twins either (it seems like so many people in here do. But not me!) the chances are about the same with 1 or 2 but the health risks that can come with carrying twins skyrockets.
