I brought my 2 month son to his babysitters on Tuesday for a practice run before I go to work. Yesterday she texts me and said that her daughter threw up. Last night my son screamed for over two hours and was inconsolable. He’s never done that before. We did get him to eat a little during that time and it definitely seemed like he was having gas pains. Gas drops, gripe water, burping, and bicycling his legs didn’t work but eventually he just fell asleep and slept through the whole night (again something he’s never done). Today he’s been pretty fussy again, and has been spitting up a lot. I can’t tell if it’s spit up or vomit though. It’s a large amount and has been projectile. No fever and he’s having his normal amount of wet diapers. He’s been eating a lot more this week too than he previously did both in quantity and frequency. I made an appointment with his pediatrician for tomorrow morning, their earliest available. Does it sound like he might be sick or am I just overreacting? (Obviously I’m going to the doctor for a medical opinion but I just wanted to see what other moms thought too).
