It’s hard to say definitely but my babies have always synced to my sleep pattern. I can’t say it’s due to the breastmilk, but it could be. I’ve had very different life/sleep patterns with each of my 4 babies, but I’ve always nursed on demand and co-slept to some degree. One thing I’ve noticed helps my babies fall asleep if I’m wanting to stay awake is to keep a slow and regular breathing pattern (pretend sleep breathing?) while nursing.
Breastfeeding insomnia...?
I remember reading that breast milk changes depending on the time of day, the age of the baby, if they’re sick or not, etc..
With that said, I have been insomniac for almost ten years now, could it be that since I’m up all night my body and milk think it’s day time therefore my daughter thinks so too? I usually stay awake all night and sleep during the day and my daughter does that too no matter how much I try to fix her sleeping schedule. Could it be because of me?
