Prodromal labor?

FTM.  hit 36 weeks today and starting last night I’ve had regular, mildly painful cramps. Like contractions for beginners. They stop when I lie down or take a hot shower. Is anyone else experiencing this? Not sure if it’s kinda early for it, but they’re. definitely more intense than Braxton Hicks

Second time mom here. I didn’t have it with my first but i have it now with my second. They started Monday early morning 2-6 minutes apart and they have stayed that way since Monday. I went to get checked today and they can see the contractions and some of them are beyond hell to get through but I’m still only 1/2 cm dilated. I’m 36w1d today. I got sent home until I only have those hellion contractions back to back

I had this with my third! It started every night, all night consistently for a whole week until I delivered! I’d never been so miserable  
Nothing stopped it for me and it was painful!

I had no problems with my first other than her trying to come at 32 weeks (she was born at 38). But I was diagnosed this over the weekend. It’s officially been a week since the contractions started. They haven’t stopped at all though so I’m completely miserable. I had an appointment yesterday and OB said contractions are causing change and he could feel my water bag bulging. So hopefully it won’t be much longer
