Crib wedge..Safe or not?

My MIL bought one for me after I said I wasn't sure about it until I did my research first. Never even heard of them until she brought it up.

Actually a crib wedge is safe. It's to help babies with acid reflux or in my case a baby with colic. It goes underneath the mattress and  it doesnt move. When you use it your bab th wont even be old enough to play with it and by the time the baby is you most likely wont need it. Heck I still use it when my son has a cold needs propped to help breath.

They are safe! I had a boy with extremely bad acid reflux and would puke all the time in the night when he was a baby, the wedge made it so if he was spitting up he would be way more proped up and not choke.

Our docs (OB, pediatricians) are unanimously against sleep positioners that go in the crib. Wedges that go under the mattress to provide a bit of an incline are okay, but nothing above the mattress where baby sleeps. Check with your pediatrician first - they’ll have better info

It's safe. We were recommended by a whole team of people at the children's hospital when she was sick to get one for under the mattress

People just recommended propping stuff under the mattress, I didn't even know they made something specifically for that. Cool.

Nothing is safe in the crib until they’re older. You should talk to your pediatrician about it. A crib wedge isn’t worth the risk of SIDS
