My now nearly 7 1/2 month old will not sleep in her crib. She will only sleep in my arms, or on my chest (and the occasional falling asleep in the car). She just had her first tooth pop thru.

We had a good thing going. She was taking naps in her crib, she’d sleep in her crib at night (with a couple wakeuos but that was fine... then the wakeups were more and more). Her doctor suggested putting her in her crib drowsy.... that’s when everything went downhill.... after sometime of that, she stopped napping in her crib. Seriously she hasn’t taken a nap in her crib in about 3-4 weeks. And then the past week or so, she had a rough time and from about 3am-5am had trouble sleeping. And then it turned into not being able to sleep after 2am unless she was in my arms (which led to severe sleep deprivation for me). And now tonight, since 9:30pm, she won’t sleep in her crib. And I can’t keep fighting with her for god knows how long because I’m exhausted and need sleep too. So here we are, yet again, spending another night in the recliner in her room. Before when I was really exhausted I’d just take her into our bed but she now hates that and wakes up fully.

We have a bedtime routine. Everything I’ve tried to keep her drowsy, she becomes accostined to after a few days and it doesn’t help. We got a white noise machine, it helped significantly for 3 days, and then we went back to this. I’ve tried gebtle sleep training. I don’t believe in cio, and we’re also in an apartment with 2 other people’s bedrooms next to hers.

I am at a loss. I’m so tired. I know this isn’t good getting her so used to sleeping in my arms, but she needs sleep. I don’t know what else to do. I’d love to get a plan from The Cradle Coach, but we don’t have that money right now. I don’t know what to do. I blamed it on teething but it just seems to be getting worse. What am I doing wrong?
