Lila Rae and Chase Bradley

Megan
I went to the hospital on Saturday, August 15 because I was feeling 'off' -  less movement with my twins, upset stomach, increased bowel movements. I had a history of low amniotic fluids so I just wanted them checked to be sure all was ok. Once I got to the hospital, to doctor told me I was 2 cm dilated and contracting. I had no idea!
They put me on procordia and gave me magnesium and told me I was staying until I was 34 weeks (this Friday). The next day, I was still only 2 cm and contractions had lessened, so they transferred me to maternity to hang out until Friday. On Monday I had an ultrasound to check on babies' fluid levels and the doctor figured she'd check me while I was in there. Turns out, the meds were NOT doing their job and I was dilated 4 cm! The doctor said we'd be delivering that day. Literally an hour and a half later, I was numb from the waist down and delivering my babies via c-section at 33w3d.
Lila Rae was born at 2:12pm, weighing 4 lbs 13 oz and 18 inches long. Chase Bradley was born at 2:13pm, weighing 4 lbs 5 oz and 17.5 inches long. Both babies are in NICU and doing well, already off oxygen and latching on to feed! We got an amazing picture of them holding hands yesterday. We are hoping that they continue to improve every day and that they come home sooner rather than later!
