Do you give your baby a bottle in the crib?

My son is one. He wakes a few times a night for a drink. So I was wondering if it would be okay/safe to give him a bottle of water at night in his crib.

I give water because it’s less likely to give baby bottle tooth decay

My daughter has a bottle right before bed but I brush her teeth right after than put her to sleep so her teeth dont decay

I mean I get thirsty in the middle of the night too. I've left a cup of water in her crib since she was a year or so. Sometimes she drinks it sometimes she doesn't. It's nice because when she wakes up in the morning she can have water right away. Not sure how it would be dangerous.

I just to leave a bottle ready by my night table because most of the time when I place it in her crib  she will move and her water will spill. But if your baby isn't a crazy sleeper you can securely place where you think he can reach it if he needs to.

I think it would be okay for a one year old. If the mattress has a waterproof cover it wouldnt ruin the mattress if the bottle leaked a little. You could try it for a few nights to see how it goes

Idk. My MIL always tells me the story about a woman giving her baby juice at night and the bottle would tip over and mold the mattress 🤭🤧 I’m sure water is fine though. But it might fall over and soak the mattress and/or your child’s clothes
