Would it be okay to start giving my toddler breastmilk once I start lactating again?

I’m pregnant with baby #2, and I was thinking about just giving my 14 month old breastmilk instead of almond like he’s been drinking. I don’t think I’ll let him nurse because I only breastfed for a week with him. He’ll be 21 months when this baby is born.

Who is voting no lol??? Breastmilk is always best, regardless of the babies age. Especially during cold and flu season. Absolutely give the 14m old breastmilk if they will take it. My 22m old stopped nursing during this pregnancy because she hates the colostrum but I’m hoping she will drink pumped milk once it comes in. I’ll let her nurse if she wants but i have a feeling her latch is pretty much gone.

Is there a reason why you are giving your 14 month Almond milk, and not cows milk.? It’s still pretty early to be giving almond, doesn’t have the fat building properties like cows milk for growth.  But I understand if there’s lactose allergies!

I figure if body builders are paying like $20/oz for it online, it can’t hurt your own baby! But not every child likes the taste once they’ve weaned.

You can always try. My daughter was 16 mos when my 2nd was born. I tried to give her breastmilk. She had breastfed til just a week shy of her birthday. And she wanted nothin to do with it. She hated the taste and spit it out when it came out of the bottle.

I think the benefits of it are best up until 3-4. After that there are really no benefits.
