Hedgehog?

Question

This is not reproductive health related at all. But I do hope someone can help.
I'm wanting to own a hedgehog one day and am wondering how someone would go about getting one. Is there a special license you have to get? Any feedback would greatly help.

I loved my hedgie!! No special license I believe, I live in Texas. You do have to find a Breeder. Make sure they seem like a good breeder because I’ve heard lots of stories of people getting badly bred hedgehogs and them having lots of health problems. 
Make sure you do LOTS of research on them beforehand. If you live in a colder area, you need to purchase a heating pad and keep your house pretty warm. If they go into hibernation, it can kill them. They are also prone to cancer and seizures. My hedgehog began having seizures shortly before she turned 4. There wasn’t really anything I could do about it. But she lived for another 2 years before she passed from old age. Make sure to do lots of research on their diet as well because they’re interesting little eaters!
