Is anyone’s D (or you if you’re the D) like this?

My LD boyfriend/Dom is a little different in his methods than I expected (he’s my first serious partner) and I don’t really know how to respond to it.

So I expected him to be more strict (‘do this or...’) but it seems he prefers positive reinforcement (‘do this and...’) and most of his punishments are actually just really embarrassing. And he likes me turned on all the time. I like it but I think I like a little more balance too, and I don’t really know how I should best respond with it.

Is this a thing? What’s your advice?
