Opinions on having your kids close together?

Question

How close would you have your babies or have had your babies? 
I’m 28+3 today with my son, and we’re thinking about when we would want to get pregnant again. because we do want our kids close together, and would mind having the first two closer together.
Just would love to see opinions and reason why or why not.

I would but I don’t feel ready to take care of two young ones at the same time! I can’t imagine being this tired and then putting one to bed, then the other one gets right up and the cycle repeats. That’s the only worry. So yeah I’ll wait a few years until my daughter is able to kind of take care of herself (pooping and eating?).

I have 4 kids and have always gotten pregnant again when my youngest was 1. It's hard to take care of a baby when you're dealing with pregnancy, 1st trimester symptoms and aches and pains etc, and when you already have kids you literally have zero rest time, so pregnancy is harder on the body. At least around age 1 they're a little more independent, sleeping better, can start to feed themselves etc but they're still close in age. My 3 older ones play together every day.

We got pregnant with our 2nd baby when our son was 9 months old. It was planned, we wanted them close together. So they're going to be about a year and half apart once this baby is born. It's exciting because they're both boys, so they're definitely gonna be partners lol
 Before you do decide, though. Think about if you could actually see yourself being pregnant and taking care of a toddler (if you do wait the year.) Toddlers are exhausting 😩 i'm 33 weeks right now and my son is 17 months but he is so active and big and its hard keeping up with him. And then since i didn't take enough time to strengthen my core and pelvic floor, i have AWFUL, intense pains (since 25 weeks and they just keep getting worse) and it's not an ideal situation. 
So if you do plan on getting pregnant soon after, pleeaaaaseeeee work on those muscles and on any diastasis recti you may have so you don't deal with bad pains. 
But always keep in mind that the end result is gonna be priceless and any and all pain and sleep deprivation and loss of sanity is gonna be worth it❤️😂😅

Okay i had my first july 2013 and my second july 2016 my third is due march 2019 i prefer the almost exact 3 year age gap so far. I also have two step sons who are 8 and 10 and their mom likes the two year age gap other then the fact they have very little memories of her being pregnant other then her 10 year old with their half sister who is almost 6 i think. They loved going with us to find out gender and have been awesome at adjusting along with my 5 year old for new baby but my 2 year old doesnt seem to understand im pregnant. So it all depends on u. I also loved having my 5 year old who at the time was 3 almost potty trained before he became a big brother so i wasnt changing as many diapers lol.

My son is 16 months old. He will be 2 exactly when this baby is born (baby is due 2 days after my son’s second birthday) and I like this gap. My son will be old enough to be gentle with the baby and gaining more and more independence. I couldn’t imagine having a second child now with my son this age. Plus, I get to spend some quality time with my son before new baby comes. I feel almost guilty that he only has me to himself for 7 more months.. but I know he’s young enough to not remember. I also am a FIRM believer that your body needs to heal for a year after birth.

I’m not sure if we’ll try for a second since our first hasn’t arrived yet. However, I’ll be 34 and he’ll be almost-36 when our first arrives, so I can see us aiming for a second within the first two years or so. I know overall health is more important than numerical age, but getting closer to 40 would make me worry. His sibling is 2 years younger and my sibling is 3 years younger, so we think 2-3 year age gap works well!
