There is no reason not to wait. That being said I did at 14, it does cause more complicated relationships. You need to make sure you dont feel pressured and are comfortable completely with it, and are you? Because if you were would you be asking? If you aren't 100% that that's what you want to do hold it off until someone comes along and it does feel 100 %right.

It’s not horrible, but it is a bad idea. The age of consent is 18. By some state laws, you’d both be committing statutory rape. You should wait until you’re 18. There’s less complicated stuff involved.
You’re not bad in being curious and wanting to know more about sex.
I am not encouraging you to have sex, but I am encouraging you to learn about ways to have safe sex.
14 is definitely too young, but if you decide against what everyone else is advising, please PLEASE BE SAFE.
Heed my advice: If you/your partner feel too awkward to buy condoms, feminine hygiene products, and Plan B, you are too young to have sex.

Sorry, 14 is too young. You will have your whole life to explore and have sex. Enjoy your teenage years while you can. I know I regret having sex (first time I had no say- I was drugged at 16) second time I went back to an ex that I knew for years and thought I loved. Huge mistake since I realized later in life it wasn’t love just lust. I wish I waited. I wish I just had fun with my friends and didn’t even date until a little later in life. 
When you do decide, be safe, use protection and be confident in your choice. If you have to question if it’s ok or if you are too young, then you already know it isn’t right and you have a gut feeling it isn’t the right time. 
As others have said, many states it is illegal to consent at that age. Keep these things in mind. As well as the fact that condoms can break and the pill isn’t 100% effective.

As long as you are safe. It's not bad, but it isn't legal. Lots of teenagers do have sex at this age though. Just be safe and consensual
