Is Lloyd a “black persons name”?

My partner and I are considering the name Lloyd for our son due next month. I mentioned it to my black friend the other day and she said it was a “black persons name.”  Ultimately I don’t think this will change us going with it but I’m wondering if other people feel the same way about the name..

How could Lloyd be a “black persons name”? My DH is black and his name is Erik 😂 he is the only person that I know with that name who isn’t white. 🤷🏻‍♀️ names don’t go with color or races. It’s what you and your husband want!!

There are no "black people names" 🙄. People of all colors everywhere share the same name with someone else. And that's a stupid reason to second guess the name.

No name is really for a specific race I know black people names Bryan Justin and bill and I know white people named Darius Quincy and Trenell if you love the name use it Lloyd is a nice name
