Is this normal?

I see a midwife and she's yet to measure me at my monthly appointments. I asked her how much my baby should weigh at 30 weeks and she said she didn't know and probably at around 1 to 2 lbs.. I asked her how I know if my baby is growing okay and how big she is considering I'm never measured and she said she can just tell by feeling my tummy that she's around the size she should be. She's not scheduling me for an ultrasound until 35 to 36 weeks to check her measurements and weight. Is this normal routine? I've had no complications so far so I was assuming that's why she hasn't done much during appointments except listen to my babies heart beat but I'm ready to know more. Has anyone else experienced this type of care?
