How did you figure out the correct dose of vitex for yourself?

So i finally started taken Vitex on July 22nd by August 16th i finally got my period. Im so irregular i never get my period wit out taken some sort of birth control or progesterone. I really didnt think the Vitex was going to work the first month because theres no set amount for someone to take and it all depends on your body. I only took one 500mg a day for the first month and on the 26th day my period came but it was very light. Im wondering if i should up my dose to two 500mgs a day.

Could someone share their experience on trying to figure out their right dose of vitex a day? Im trying to decide if i should stay on one pill or up to 2 pills a day.
