How would you feel?

How do you ladies feel about the saying “I’m dating you, not your family”? My boyfriend is VERY family oriented and I love that about him but it’s a little TOO much lol. It’s to the point where we rarely have time to ourselves because we’re always with his family or babysitting his nieces and nephew. There has been times where I suggest we go places & he invites his family to join us. Or, if we go out alone he always calls his family just to check on them and see what they’re doing. He’s also a momma’s boy and anything she says, he does...he’s about to be 24 and I feel like he needs to cut the cord a little. It’s driving me nuts that he has so much responsibility because he’s the man of the house. It’s been 2 years so it’s kinda late to make this a problem now 😭

I love my family but I’m able to go out and have fun without checking in. I even leave for holidays to hang out with him and his family, but I don’t think he’d ever leave his family on holidays to come hang out with mine!
