Just wondering I feel like stds aren’t talked about much and if you had or do have them you’re always looked down up on.

Honestly I don’t think people really talk about it to their peers if they do have something. I don’t have nor have I had anything g but if I were to catch something I wouldn’t be telling everyone other than a conversation with my other half. I feel as though it’s your personal information and you are not entitled to tell people if you don’t want to.

Only hpv. I have high risk. It’s super super common and most people don’t even know they have it until they get a Pap smear.

The stigma around STDs is bullshit. They’re so easily cured. It’s easier to get rid of an STD than the flu. Having an STD doesn’t make you a bad person, doesn’t make you a slut or a whore, or dirty. You can be careful but sometimes things go wrong! If it’s any consolation to the girls who are paranoid about it, I’m an escort, it’s my job to sleep with men, and I’ve never had an STD. If you use protection correctly, don’t cross contaminate and learn how to health check your partner, you should be good. If you do think you’ve got something, go to the docs! Getting tested is easy as pie. Get tested after new partners (you’ll need to wait 2 weeks after first sleeping with them as the bacterial/viral/fungal loads won’t be high enough to detect before that.).

I wouldnt say they are looked down upon more so people believe that if you get one than that's your fault for not using protection. (Not including victims of rape or born with an std) Not using a condom when need be is like dodging a bullet, sooner or later you'll get hit. I've had my fair share of stupidity in the past, and thankfully I dodged a few bullets. Never had an std which I'm pretty damn lucky.
