My grandparents are visiting from Mexico.. They got here Tuesday and they are leaving today! My kids haven't had a chance to see them this time around because of school and sports. I'm allowing them to miss school today so they can spend some time with them before we take them to the airport.. I understand everyone has different opinions, I'm just curious as to if you would let your child miss 1 day of school to be with family.. My husband didn't agree but he also doesn't have any grandparents anymore as they all passed when he was little.. Family is everything to me and my grandma helped raise me so I call her mom and so do my kids.. I feel like my kids are soo lucky and blessed to have living greatgrandparents still! Them and I would be devastated if they never got to see them again and didn't get to say good bye.. They only come once a year, usually for a few weeks but this was just a speedy trip this time..
