What would you do??

Question

We’re in a cab on our way to the airport and we’re running a little late so we ask the taxi driver if he can speed up. He speeds to get us to the airport sooner but ends up getting a speeding ticket. Do you feel obligated to pay for or pitch in for the speeding ticket? Or would you just leave it for the driver?

No, if I was the cab driver I would have told y’all “no” for that specific reason and the fact that he could cause an accident. He chose to speed when he should have just said No 🤷🏻‍♀️

They should of told you guys you were SOL because you could/should’ve planned better. If you’re late, that’s on you not them 
But, since you asking him to do something resulted in the ticket, I’d feel bad for not paying for it. While he couldve said no- it was your request to do so

I would give the driver a gigantic tip, as much as I could possibly afford, but honestly the bottom line is that the driver made the decision to speed up. He should have told those people no. He should’ve made it very clear that he is not willing to speed to get them where they need to go on time. It is not the drivers fault that they decided to get in a cab late, but it is definitely the drivers fault that he decided to listen to them and speed.
