Not unless you go into labor before your c-section is scheduled. 
& Yes you'll hurt after, it is a major surgery.

Emergency c sections are horrible. Planned ones aren’t too bad. You won’t labor beforehand if it’s planned. The only way you would be in labor is if you go into labor prematurely before your surgery.

I had a planned one a month and a half before I was due, so literally the worst part of the day was not being able to eat and waiting for them to tell me they were ready. Spinal block hurt a bit but quickly faded, and everything went well after that. I had a bad/unique reaction and started throwing up about 2 hours later (which no one had even heard of). But don’t be afraid to ask for pain meds, nurses will keep you up to date. I took a shower 2 days after, and cried afterwards. It is surgery, so moving around will hurt a bit, but keep trying. After about a week and a half, I was completely back to normal

It’s major abdominal surgery, there is pain after but it’s pretty manageable after the first couple days from my experience.
