So my little boy will be here in 2 months and we bought his car seat the other day. It’s not a carrier, it’s one that would stay in the car and you take the baby in and out. It’s safe for newborns but I got to thinking about taking him home from the hospital.

This may be a stupid question but if you have that type of car seat do they just have you carry the baby to the car or what? I’ve always had a carrier car seat and I wasn’t sure if it was required for a newborn to leave the hospital.
