How much weight did you gain first trimester?

My SO is slightly scared for me and anxious for me to gain some weight. I have been up and down lately. I started at 117 and went down to 110 then back up to 115 and then back down to 113 and I keep losing the weight I gain and going back to 113. I don't know if this is normal because with my first son I gained 3 pounds slowly during the 1st trimester.

I lost 2-3 pounds however, a female's body weight can fluctuate 5+/- pounds in a given day without being pregnant so it could be a part of your body's normal fluctuations. Plus first trimester is common to lose weight due to hormones and sickness.

A lot of women lose weight in the first trimester from morning sickness. I'm lucky and only had all day nausea. Put on 2 pounds for the first trimester.

I lost weight during the 1st trimester! Do you have morning sickness or throwing up? That could be why! I wouldn’t worry about loosing weight right now. When you get to your 2nd trimester, you will start to gain weight.

I lost 9lbs during the first trimester, and have put it back on now I’m in the second. You weight will fluctuate as you’re probably eating less due to the other symptoms. Don’t worry!

You should ask your doctor. I loose 7 pounds the first trimester I was Soo freaking skinny I had really bad morning sickness, but the most important thing was (my doctor did a blood test) that i wasn't anemic, etc.  So the most important thing is if you are healthy for the baby even if you are losing weight.

Your doctor can tell you what’s normal for you. They chart your weight and based on your individual health, they’ll know what’s normal or not. :) I thought I gained a lot at 24 lbs at 28 weeks but according to my doctor I’m right on track. :)
