Irritability with periods?

Does anyone else get really irritable during their period? I do and my fiance claims that it's not my period and I'm just mean/irritable. I want to prove to him that it really is a thing. Thank you all!

Your fiancé needs to go read about PMS. Irritability is a textbook period symptom.

No joke, the week before my period(right now )...i hate my husband. Cant stand him. It took a while for us to realize this was hormonal and not actual hate. We work it out now, but man our house was volitile before he learned to just let me blow up, then id cry and itd smooth over a little.

My fiancé tells me the same thing! He says I get irritable and emotional during my period because I "let it happen" but I always tell him it's out of my control. Awaiting the day he finally believes me!
