My mother is 43 years old. She is homeless and jobless. My husband and I are allowing her to live with us to hopefully help her get back on her feet. She’s not in great health. She told me the other day that she might be pregnant because she got a positive pregnancy test. She is a known liar about things though.

IF and that a big IF, she is pregnant she can’t afford to raise the child. She said she might give it up for adoption if she does have it. I am a big sister to 4 siblings and they are my life!! 1 of them passed away 2 years ago and it was extremely painful. I told my mom I didn’t want the baby to end up in foster care and not be in our family. My husband and I have been trying for a baby for 2 years. I told my mom I would be happy to take the baby and she agreed.

Just looking for some advice on this situation.
