Is this ever going to stop?!

10w3d and the morning sickness is still severe. I work in fast food and I'm not even allowed to miss shifts with this morning sickness so everything sucks right now and I'm wondering if the nausea will ever end. 😭😭

I worked with homeless people my first pregnancy. I feel like we may have similar smell sensitivities that might make work harder...I took a tip from an old coroners trick and would wear Vick’s vapor rub right on my upper lip under my nostrils so all I could smell was eucalyptus. I was still sick but it definitely wasn’t as crazy bad.

My OB told me to take 25mg unisom and 25mg B6 together at bedtime. It really works so well and is safe. Maybe ask your OB if they think you can take it?

Mine never ended last pregnancy. I had to take unisom every day until I gave birth . At six weeks with this pregnancy the morning sickness came on hard and at 9 weeks I’m taking my unisom and still vomiting but I am at least eating . I hope I’m not sick until I give birth again .

For some unfortunate few, it doesn’t end. Hopefully this isn’t you though, I think it’s only 5%! The odds are good that it will start to lessen (or end) soon. I also work in management in the food service industry, so I understand what you’re saying. I don’t know how it works in the US, but in Canada you can apply for accommodation (including shorter or fewer shifts). It might be worth a shot talking to your manager, district manager, or HR, depending on the hierarchy of your company, and see what they can do for you.
